All tips given the month of August will be donated to the Jason Wicker family of St. Marys. Jason is married to Debbi and father to four children: Lily (19), Sophia (13), Nolan (6), and Finlee (4). In 2019, Jason had a hernia while at work at Continental driving truck (he has not been back to work since July 2020). During a scan of his abdomen, masses on his lungs were noticed. In August of 2019, he was diagnosed with interstitial lung disease and many tests and biopsies were done to try to figure out what was causing his lung health to continually decline. In January 2020 he was brought to Cleveland Clinic for further testing. His lung function numbers were stable from January 2020 until he went back in March 2022 for a checkup after having caught COVID-19 in February 2022. After his COVID-19 infection, his lung health suffered greatly and he was told he would be put on the list for a lung transplant, and that the wait time could take years. On May 23, 2022 he was admitted to Lima Memorial for possible pneumonia, but his oxygen was less than 50% after taking a few steps which indicated further pulmonary failure. He was there for six days and then he was care flighted to Cleveland Clinic. Although his testing and preparing for a lung transplant was not complete at that point, he was put on the list in a few days, and a few days later God lined up a new set of lungs for Jason. After seven weeks in the hospital with his wife Debbi at his side, Jason was able to return home with a successful double lung transplant. He currently must take about 50 pills daily, a shot to prevent blood clots, bi-weekly bloodwork, and biopsies every three months and then yearly here on out. His favorite hobby is fishing. Let us keep the Wicker family in our daily prayers. Your generous tip will help cover their medical bills. Thank you and God bless!
