All tips given the month of August will be donated to the Jim Arling family of Osgood. Jim is 59 years old, and self employed at J & J Auto Specialties, and is married to Julie who works at Midmark. They have three adult daughters, Jennie, Jackie, and Janelle along with five grandchildren.
Jim had a hip replacement in April 2024. Because of infection the doctors did a second surgery and redid the hip replacement. Another infection required the doctors to preform a third surgery where they removed the hip replacement and put in a spacer. They also placed a pic line and started antibiotics for six weeks. After six weeks of antibiotic medication they will wait two additional weeks and then do blood work to see if the infection is gone.
A blood transfusion was required during the third surgery and home health visits post surgery. The doctors are hoping to do a surgery in September to finish the hip replacement surgery. Jim will require therapy and will need additional time to heal before he can go back to work.
