All tips given the month of January will be donated to the Renee Bergman family of New Weston. Renee is 40 years old and mother to Allie (13), Dominic (11), Charlie (10), Oliver (4), and Hank (3). She is an 8th grade language arts teacher at Mississinawa Valley.
Renee was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in October 2023. She previously had surgery and chemo for the colon cancer, but it returned and spread into her stomach lining. In November 2024 she had an extensive surgery scheduled to remove all of the cancer followed by a HIPEC (a chemo bath soak). When her abdomen was opened during surgery, the doctors noticed that the spots were now spread over much of her abdomen, so they took out the cancer they safely could, did the HIPEC, and closed her back up. Renee started chemo in December 2024 to try to kill the remaining cancer inside her body. This chemo will be an ongoing maintenance in hopes to prolong her life as the doctors gave a prognosis of 1 year.
Renee enjoys spending time with her family. Her cancer is said to be incurable. Pray with us that she is miraculously restored back to health. Your generous donations will help pay for Renee’s ongoing medical bills. Thank you and God bless!
