All tips given the month of September will be donated to the Libby Bihn family six miles out of Fort Recovery in Portland. Her husband, Joe, tragically passed away in a motor vehicle accident in May 2019. Libby is raising their 5 young children who were 8 months through 15 years old at the time of the accident. Unfortunately, Joe was without life insurance. Libby works as a home care physical therapy assistant, but also wakes up early each morning with the kids to do farmwork, then attends the kids’ extracurricular activities, and ends the day working back on the farm. It was a dream for the Bihn family to pass on the farm to their children. Before Joe passed away, he was working on remodeling parts of their home. The basement flooded the week after the funeral and then had to be gutted. Libby would love to be able to be able to fix the children’s’ rooms especially because most of their furniture and beds were thrown away due to mold from the flood. They all have plenty of clothing and shoes, and they are truly fortunate and thankful for what they have. The basement needs to be finished so the children have a place to sleep, the roof has leaks and needs replaced, and the home’s windows, doors, and siding needs replaced. Please offer your support to help this humble, hard working, and deserving family so they will have a warm, dry, and safe place to live before this winter.
